The
Italian Poon – Ze’ Association Team was established
in 1989, in Vicenza, under the technical direction of the
6th degree Teacher Giuseppe Bon, as A.S.D. (Associazione Sportiva
Dilettantistica = Amatuers Sports Association). In this Chinese
martial arts’ school many disciplines are practised:
Traditional Kung Fu (Shin dae Woung method),
which includes Northern Shaolin and Tang Lang;
Traditional Tai chi chuan (ancient Yang style),
encoded yang and chen.
Pakua, Hsing yi and Chi
Kung;
Fighting sports: Sandà and Thai
Boxing. The quest for a deeper knowledge and
understanding of martial art has
led the teacher in search of greater perfection and continued
development, through many trips to China. In addition, he
has collaborated with important Chinese teachers greatly enhancing
martial arts’ development in Italy and Europe, as well
as benefiting the Teacher’s own pupils.
“Buddha
tells the following parable in a sutra:
A man travelling across a field encountered a tiger. He fled,
the tiger chasing after him. Coming to a precipice, he caught
hold of the root of a wild vine and swung himself down over
the edge. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Trembling,
the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger was
waiting to eat him. Only the vine held him up. Two mice, one
white and one black started to gnaw away at the vine. The
man saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine
with one hand, he plucked the strawberry with the other. Ahh,
how sweet it tasted!”
