Biography

The Teacher BON GIUSEPPE was born on the 19/08/56 in Vicenza, and is the technical Director and President of the Chinese martial arts’ school “A.S. Italia POON ZE’ Team”, which means “Shining Star”. He has practised Chinese martial arts since 1976 and for he last 15 years has been under the guidance of the Korean Teacher Shin Dae Woung, who came to Italy to train the American army; the charisma and the skill of the Teacher Shin, as well as the commitment and dedication proved by the Teacher Giuseppe Bon, have impressed upon him an indelible style and technique.
At present the Teacher Giuseppe Bon is black belt 6th degree, Italian Kung Fu champion, winner no less than for 8 times in form competitions, 3 times in Sanda matches and two first places in Tai Chi Chuan. He was the winner in the Teachers’ Category at the 1st World Kung Fu cup that took place in Perugia in 1977. He took part in the 5th World championship of Kung Fu and Sanda in Taiwan, distinguishing himself through his skill with the sabre. In 1990 he went to Central China, to the famous Shaolin Monastery, to study and train with the Monastery’s warlike monks. In 1992 he was also invited to the Institute of Physical Education in Beijing where he had the opportunity for over a month, to study the Pa Kwa style in depth, Thai Chi Chen and Sanda fights, perfecting his use of special ancient weapons. On this occasion he took part in a demonstration in Tien Jin where he received plaudits and praises from senior Teachers. The T Bon went to China for the third time in August 2000, with a few of his pupils, to practise and study in depth with the teachers of the Beijing’s Physical Education University and one of the major schools of Shaolin, near the Monastery.
Besides normal training, he refines his techniques by taking part in various stages held by well known Chinese Teachers (Teacher Ho Bing Quan, Teacher Go Ming Xu, Teacher Chen Xiao Wang) and, moreover, he works with the NEI DAN association in Bologna run by Teacher Flavio Daniele.
Through all this experience as well as many others, he has become a highly respected teacher and a leading personality of the Italian and European Kung Fu scene. His team always attends the most prestigious events such as Golden Dragon, European, Dacascos Championship, World Kung Fu Cup, International Tournament and is regularly in the medals table.
